MSAA’s Publications Receive Recognition From APEX Awards and National Health Information Awards

The Multiple Sclerosis Association of America (MSAA) is proud to announce that we are the recipients of an APEX Award for Excellence from the 36th Annual APEX Awards, as well as a Merit Award from the 31st Annual National Health Information Awards!

MSAA is honored to have received an APEX Award of Excellence in the Magazines, Journals, & Tabloids category for print publications 32 pages and longer for the Summer/Fall 2023 edition of MSAA’s magazine, The Motivator. This magazine issue focuses on “The Importance of Diet and Nutrition in MS,” featuring insights into healthy food choices for people living with MS. Additional columns include “Ask the Doctor,” “Research News,” and “Stories to Inspire,” amongst others. We are also excited to have received a Merit Award from the National Health Information Awards in the Newsletter and Patient Education Information category for Vol. 8 No. 2 of My MSAA Today, MSAA’s eNewsletter that was distributed in March of 2023. This digital newsletter focuses on the various initiatives that were held by MSAA in honor of MS Awareness Month, as well as details regarding MSAA’s Art Showcase, webinar and educational video library, fundraising events, and MSAA’s “Ask the Expert” column. APEX, the Annual Awards for Publication Excellence Competition sponsored by Communications Concepts, provides recognition to corporate, nonprofit, agency, and freelance communicators. The 2024 APEX Awards received more than 1,100 entries and presented 439 Awards of Excellence recognizing exceptional entries in 100 subcategories.

The National Health Information Awards, organized by the Health Information Resource Center (HIRC), honors the best digital health resources developed for consumers and health professionals. The 31st National Health Information Awards presented Gold, Silver, Bronze, and Merit certificates to entries based on content, format, success in reaching the targeted audience, and overall quality.
