MSAA’s Free Programs and Educational Resources Receive National Recognition
The Multiple Sclerosis Association of America (MSAA) is proud to announce that several of our free educational resources have been nationally recognized, receiving multiple awards from two notable organizations, Digital Health Awards® and APEX.
APEX Awards for Publication Excellence Recognizes My MS Manager™
MSAA is pleased to share that our mobile app, My MS Manager™, has received an APEX Award for Publication Excellence in the Electronic Media: Apps & Games category. Developed in partnership with Kaplan Medical Education, My MS Manager is a first-of-its-kind mobile app designed specifically for individuals living with multiple sclerosis. Users of the app have a safe and convenient method of tracking symptoms, medications, appointments, sharing vital information with their healthcare team, and more. My MS Manager is available at no cost on both Apple and Android devices.
APEX Awards recognize outstanding publication and communications across multiple industries, honoring excellence in design, editorial content, and overall communications effectiveness.
Digital Health Awards Recognize Several MSAA Educational Resources
In addition to the APEX Award of Excellence, MSAA is delighted to have received four Digital Health Awards in the Digital Health Media and Publications category.
MSAA’s podcast episode titled “Family Planning – Motherhood and MS,” earned a Gold Digital Health Award in the subcategory of Audio. This episode is hosted by Kate Durack, MSAA’s Director of MSIN Communication and Patient Focus, and features Lisa Doggett, MD, MPH, FAAFP, DipABLM; and Alyx Rossi, FNP-B. During this episode’s discussion, postpartum challenges, ongoing fatigue, the phenomenon behind “mom guilt,” and other topics related to motherhood are all touched upon.
The Summer/Fall 2025 issue of MSAA’s magazine, The Motivator, received a Bronze Digital Health Award in the Magazine subcategory. This issue of The Motivator features the cover story titled, “In Search of MS Biomarkers,” in which the field of biomarker research and its potential role in improving MS diagnosis, monitoring, treatment, and overall care are discussed. Additional columns focus on news about MSAA’s programs, opportunities to support our organization, research updates as well as MSAA’s “Ask the Doctor” and “Stories to Inspire” pieces.
MSAA’s educational article series, “What’s New in MS Research,” (September 2025, November 2025, and January 2026 editions), earned a Merit Digital Health Award in the Article Series subcategory. The series provides readers with timely summaries of emerging developments in multiple sclerosis research, covering topics ranging from potential treatment advances to new findings focusing on symptom management and quality-of-life issues.
Ask the Expert, a long-standing series on MSAA’s MS Conversations blog, received a Merit Digital Health Award in the Blog Post Series subcategory for our February 2026, December 2025, and October 2025 posts. In bimonthly published blogs, MSAA’s Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Barry A. Hendin, provides detailed information regarding various symptoms that affect individuals with multiple sclerosis as well as possible treatment options.
Organized by the Health Information Resource Center (HIRC), the Digital Health Awards is the largest program of its kind in the United States, recognizing leading digital health resources developed for consumers and health professionals. Award entries are evaluated by type of content, format, targeted consumer audience, and overall quality.
