Mobile App Helps People with Multiple Sclerosis Better Manage Their Disease
My MS Manager™ is the Multiple Sclerosis Association of America’s mobile phone app designed to be a convenient and effective tool for members of the MS community to help manage their condition. The app, powered by @Point of Care, is available to download free of charge for both iOS and Android devices.
Features available in the My MS Manager™ app include the ability to track and chart your medications, symptoms, moods, and side effects; measure how fatigue affects your daily living; and connect with your healthcare team to share progress and reports securely.
Thousands of members of the MS community have already downloaded the app and find that it is a great way to make informed health decisions with members of their care team. An MSAA client recently stated, “I think the app is brilliant. I checked out a few of the other MS tracking type apps, and none of them held a candle to the MSAA app.” My MS Manager™ was also recently named one of the Best Multiple Sclerosis Apps of 2018 by Healthline.com.
Other HIPPA-compliant features included on the app are private reminder settings, links to MSAA’s educational materials, and a journal feature that allows users to upload photos and more. MSAA encourages anyone with MS to download the app now to help monitor and stay on top of their MS symptoms.

About Multiple Sclerosis
Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a disease of the central nervous system (CNS), which consists of the brain, optic nerves, and spinal cord. MS damages or destroys the protective covering (known as myelin) surrounding the nerves of the CNS, and can potentially injure the nerves as well. This damage causes reduced communication between the brain and nerve pathways. Common MS symptoms include visual problems, overwhelming fatigue, difficulty with balance and coordination, depression and cognitive issues, and various levels of impaired mobility. Many experts estimate that 2.5 million people worldwide have been diagnosed with this disease, and most people with MS are diagnosed between the ages of 15 and 50. MS is not contagious and researchers continue to look for both a cause and a cure.
