Shamara Adams – Pittsburgh, PA
My name is Shamara Adams; a wife, mother, and woman learning to embrace life through change. I am the proud mother of six children – four who are with me each day and two I carry forever in my heart. In October 2024, I was newly diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, a journey that became fully confirmed in November. This year has been one of the most challenging seasons of my life, as I continue to balance daily routines, school, work, motherhood, and marriage, while learning how to care for my health. Navigating MS has required strength, patience, and resilience, but I have not walked this path alone. My family’s unwavering support has carried me through moments of uncertainty and growth. Though this diagnosis comes with many challenges, I see it as a second chance in life – an opportunity to slow down, listen to my body, and live with deeper gratitude. After all, challenges are part of life, and growth comes from facing them head-on.
