Growing up in a small town sectioned away in deep woods, I always had a grasp with how difficult life could be. My parents have always been right on time with bills and groceries, yet it became so much harder when my mother was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. Since the age of 8, I have watched my mother deteriorate due to her diagnosis being so late into her life. Things never really felt the same after her diagnosis.

Situations worsened after I started feeling symptoms of something unknown. Subsequently, I was later diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. I was stuck in the hospital for days, and the time there was painstakingly dreadful. Tests and vials made it feel very degrading. It made me realize how ugly this disease is. My life now consists of using my artist skills to convey the importance of multiple sclerosis to others that do not understand.
