I was a letter carrier for 26 years – 13 before my chronic illness and 13 years after being diagnosed with MS. My guitar building stemmed from my desire for guitars. I couldn’t afford to buy any and decided to make similar models myself. After doing that successfully, I wanted to design my own… After retirement I couldn’t afford to buy new components for guitars anymore, so I started creating “garbage guitars” with all recycled, reused, and found objects. I have been living with MS for almost 20 years, and it has impacted my ability to build the guitars as my hands often go numb and lose dexterity so I have to wait for “good hands days” to work on them.
