Barbara Dixon – Woodstock, GA

Barbara Dixon is a graduate of the University of Cincinnati with a degree from The School of Art and Design. She has been painting oil portraitures for over 30 years, and her work has been featured in many juried art competitions, including being awarded best of show. She studied under famous painter, Robert Fabe, and continued for many years in the corporate environment. After a diagnosis of MS, Barbara decided to give up commercial art and focus on refining her skills with the guidance of Deborah Tidwell. She also enjoys creating chalkboards with chalk markers, chalk paints, and oil pastels. Her husband, James, has been creating artisan soaps for many years and has joined Barbara on a new venture to create works of organic beauty to bathe with. They reside in Woodstock GA with their two corgis, two grand kitties and a conure named Stuart.
