Art has been my constant companion and a source of healing through life’s unexpected challenges. I’ve been drawing for as long as I can remember, but painting was something I once convinced myself I couldn’t do. That changed during my battle with Stage 2 HER+ breast cancer, where I discovered the transformative joy of painting. What started as a distraction during those treatments became my anchor—a way to reclaim a sense of control when my body felt in chaos.

Each brushstroke brought me joy, even as my legs went numb, my hands lost sensation, and cognitive fog clouded my days. Unknown to anyone at the time, underlying multiple sclerosis exacerbated by cancer treatment was reshaping my life.

Art became my voice, my therapy, and my joy when words and strength failed. Now, painting with gouache and watercolor and being surrounded by nature is how I heal, express, and reconnect with myself.

I hope these bring you as much joy as they do me!
