Cat purring is an artistic rendition of the pet that accompanied me while I was being diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. As a cat lover, caring for my pets while doing art was a way for me to cope with my condition, which ultimately gave me a new source of revenue. La francesa is a portrait inspired by my first and only trip to Europe. This is my first artwork, done right after I was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis at 51 years of age. I was in need of something to take my mind of such devastating news and achieving this first artwork showed me that I was capable of overcoming my condition by doing art.
