I have settled into retirement and have created art since I was a young girl. Art has meaning and purpose in my life and brings me joy. I have dreamt of having my days free to produce and share my art. I use a collection of repurposed treasures, saved and sorted for a lifetime. Much like a kept promise, my favorite mixed media pieces include vintage roof slate, beads, buttons and cord along with ink, paint and paper.

Multiple sclerosis has been a surprise ending, being diagnosed with RRMS at the age of 55. My workspace is my retreat. I am grateful to have hand and eye coordination with this disease. Any anxiety is quickly overcome by losing myself in my craft. I have modified my approach by planning and focusing on safety in moving about with tools and supplies from table to sink. My expectations are minimal, and I surprise myself every day.
