Karen Bloom – Kendallville, IN
When I lost use of my legs, I assumed my upper body would fail me as well. I sold my piano and gave away my art supplies. Several years later my father convinced me to start painting again. What a blessing to use my talent as an escape and therapy. When I am painting, I don’t hurt. Being a paraplegic doesn’t stop me from driving, volunteering, exercising my service dog, watching my grandson and loving life.
