Multiple sclerosis has taken my life on a different direction than I had anticipated. I had to create a new normal so that I could live a happy life and not feel like I was missing out. Some days my mobility can be restricted and so I need to rest and be thankful that I am stronger and can cope in positive ways. Art has honestly saved my life. When I am painting, I am so content and focused, that I forget about the spasticity or pain.

I love to stay busy, but my body just wouldn’t allow it after 20 years of being diagnosed. I am no longer able to work full time and wasn’t sure how to earn an income. I am so fortunate because my hobby that brings me so much joy has developed into being a part-time artist and an art teacher.
