Jay Smith – Mobile, AL
Throughout my Army career, I often leaned on drawing to keep me centered during hectic times, and busy through the down times during deployments. After my MS diagnosis, art seemed to be the only sense of self that wasn’t being taken away. I was medically retired and was no longer able to participate in sport.
After being forced to stop working full-time after my Army Career, art gave me another purpose by letting me start Clear 22. Clear 22 is a nonprofit that supports Veteran artists by providing professional services and guidance at no cost. Clear 22 also provides an online shop that Veteran Artists can sell their works.
