Jane Vorndran – Fort Wayne, IN
I was diagnosed with MS on September 9, 2014. At the end of 2015 I was evaluated by a neuropsyche who found, among other things, that my fine motor skill were needing some help. My insurance would not cover it and so I “discovered” a unique type of art that would become my physical therapy as well as emotional therapy. I entered a “Trash to Treasure” contest and won first prize! The sorting, cleaning and placing the buttons all became the best fine motor therapy for me. The enthusiasm I’ve received by people who see my “button mosaics” raises my spirits immensely. I have found that I have value through this medium which buoys me through the difficult times of this disease.
