I spent my grade school years in California. My parents moved to Washington state during my middle and high school years, where art was my favorite and best class/subject. After I was out of school, I didn’t draw or paint again as the bills needed to be paid and everywhere I found to work, none were in the art field.

When I was 26 years old, (my dad who was an amazing artist was diagnosed with cancer passed in a short time) was when I first heard the words multiple sclerosis from an optician. I still didn’t paint again until like 8 years ago when I started attending a unstructured painting class given by Gene Waggoner, just to get me started again and see if I could paint again. I still go when I can and have met many good friends there.
