Michelle Fansler – Kendallville, IN

I was diagnosed with MS in 2004. I have a rare form of the disease called Neuromyelitis Optica or NMO. I am unable to use my arms or legs, so all my painting is done by mouth. Over the past few years I have learned much patience and how to incorporate my mistakes. Painting has given me something else to think about instead of all the thoughts running through my head constantly. I find being able to accomplish this gives me great satisfaction.

I use acrylics in my painting.
