Lori Svenson – Novi, MI

My interest in art has had unusual beginnings. My father, an Engineer, had dozens of books and magazines filled with architectural drawings and renderings at our home when I was a child. I remember flipping through the magazines and being struck by the illustrations and architectural print. That was the beginning of my interest in architecture and art. I am self-taught and am learning to work with different mediums now that I have time, as my children are grown and moved out of our home. I enjoy watercolor, but feel my biggest interest and passion is with pastel drawings. I was diagnosed with MS in 2015 and have found art therapeutic to take my mind off the nagging everyday thoughts of my illness. Art truly is therapy!!
