MSAA’s Publications and Blog Receive National Recognition

The Multiple Sclerosis Association of America (MSAA) is pleased to announce that we are the recipients of two APEX Awards for Publication Excellence from the 37th Annual APEX Awards, as well as one Bronze Award from the 32nd Annual National Health Information Awards! The APEX awards were presented for MSAA’s Ask the Expert Blog Series and MSAA’s About MS publication, while the National Health Information Awards recognized the Summer/Fall 2024 edition of our national magazine, The Motivator.

Awarded under the APEX Social Media and Content Creation category for Best Series of Blog Posts, Ask the Expert is a long-standing series on MSAA’s MS Conversations blog platform. In this series, MSAA’s Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Barry A. Hendin, explains various symptoms that affect individuals with multiple sclerosis. In bi-monthly posts, Dr. Hendin provides background information on specific symptoms as well as treatment options.

MSAA’s About MS publication was also granted an APEX Award for Excellence under the One-of-a-Kind Publications category. This publication provides an overview of multiple sclerosis, including MS facts, treatment options, symptom details, resources, and more. This booklet is also available in Spanish.

In addition, MSAA is honored to have received a Bronze National Health Information Award for the cover story, “Seeking Balance in MS,” featured in the Summer/Fall 2024 edition of our magazine, The Motivator. Recognized under the Magazine, Newspaper, and Newsletter Article category, this issue’s cover story examines dizziness, vertigo, balance, and mobility, providing helpful information and strategies from healthcare experts.
