Episode 25: MS in Your 30s – The MS Journey: Stories and Strategies for Women Across the Decades

What does it mean to live with multiple sclerosis in your 30s – a decade often marked by career growth, relationships, family planning, and increasing responsibilities?

The Multiple Sclerosis Association of America is pleased to present the second episode of “The MS Journey: Stories and Strategies for Women Across the Decades,” exploring how MS can intersect with the opportunities, challenges, and life transitions that often shape this stage of adulthood. Patient advocate and MSAA Board Member Jessica March shares her personal experiences navigating MS in her 30s, alongside insights once again from neurologist Dr. Mitzi Williams, Co-Chair of MSAA’s African American Advisory Council. Together, they discuss balancing health, ambition, family, caregiving, and uncertainty while living with MS.

From career development and family planning to fatigue management, emotional well-being, support systems, and self-advocacy, this conversation explores the realities of managing MS during a decade when life can feel especially busy and complex. This episode is hosted by Kate Durack, Director of MSIN Communication and Patient Focus at MSAA, who shares her own perspective as someone diagnosed with MS at age 30.

This program is made possible through the generous support of EMD Serono.

This episode was produced and recorded at Gradwell House Recording in Haddon Heights, NJ. Music provided by The New Anxiety (Tim Recuber and John Masino III).
