Webinar: Voices Raised Through Research: National African Americans with MS Registry (NAAMSR)

Join us on Thursday, January 25th as we learn about the importance of participating in research and what different kinds of research opportunities are available. Specifically, presenters Dr. Williams, Dr. Okai, and MS advocate Victoria Reese will discuss the National African Americans with MS Registry (NAAMSR), details about getting involved, and any common questions about participating in research.

Mitzi Joi Williams, MD, FAAN
Founder and CEO, Joi Life Wellness Group
Mitzi Joi Williams is a board-certified neurologist and fellowship-trained multiple sclerosis specialist who serves as the founder & CEO of the Joi Life Wellness Group Multiple Sclerosis Center in Smyrna, GA. She is considered a subject matter expert in neurology, MS, and is the chairperson of MSAA’s African American Advisory Board.

Annette Okai, MD, FAAN
Director of Neuroimmunology & Multiple Sclerosis Research
North Texas Institute of Neurology and Headache
Dr. Annette Okai is fellowship-trained in multiple sclerosis. She is the Director of Neuroimmunology and Multiple Sclerosis Research at North Texas Institute of Neurology and Headache in Plano, TX, and Clinical Associate Professor of Neurology at Texas Tech University Health Science Center. In addition to her clinical practice, she is actively engaged in many MS clinical trials and has been published in several neurological journals. Dr. Okai is also a member of MSAA’s Healthcare Advisory Council and African American Advisory Board.
