May Ling Kopecky – Plymouth, MN

I experienced my first MS symptoms when I was 13, and was diagnosed at 15. For many years, I struggled with talking about my diagnosis, facing skepticism due to my young age and healthy appearance. My art serves as a response to this skepticism. My paintings and drawings visualize my experiences with MS, focusing on topics like healthcare, medical imagery, and MS symptoms. Through this work, I strive to spread MS awareness and advocate for people with invisible illnesses.
