Art has always been a part of my life and an outlet and escape starting as a child. MS has stolen a lot of my ability to do the art that I desire to do. But I will continue to find new (to me) ways to create. Whether it be what I call “lap art” – only things I’m capable of doing seated and working from my lap on low mobility or high pain days. Or good days when I can go to the local pottery studio and create larger pieces. Art is a huge part of my life that gives me peace, hope, and pleasure. I hope to always be creating in some form. My dream is to one day have the strength to throw on the potter wheel again. I started my pottery journey in 2016, still in the single digits of my multiple sclerosis diagnosis.
