Christie Landry – Loves Park, IL
I am Christie Landry, an artist working under the name Ki’re, derived from Erik spelled backwards. My mother is an artist, and I have been surrounded by art my entire life. I was officially diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 2021, though my doctor suspected it as early as 2008. While I have created art for most of my life, I began painting during the pandemic. Painting became a grounding and healing practice, helping me manage pain and quiet my mind. With the encouragement and steady support of my husband, I found the confidence to pursue my art more fully. Inspired by life, memory, and connection, my work is an extension of my journey and an invitation for others to pause, feel, and connect.
