Hannah Garrison – San Antonio, TX
My name is Hannah Garrison, and I’ve been creating art for as long as I can remember. In 2017, I was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, a life-altering event that profoundly shaped my artistic journey. Post-diagnosis, I embraced imperfection, both in my body and my art. My work shifted from striving for perfection to celebrating spontaneity and authenticity. I often let the medium take the lead, watching colors merge and interact, allowing the process to guide me. For me, art is a space of control and freedom—a partnership between intention and surrender. Through this approach, I find joy and meaning in the creative process, imperfections and all.
