Melanie Paquette – Spencer, MA

My name is Melanie Paquette. I was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 2017. I have always been a visual person and gravitate towards impressionism. I saw each of these photographs in different magazines and am forever tearing them out and stacking them away to paint someday. All of these paintings were done in late winter, so I definitely had spring on my mind. The picture of the table reminded me of a tea party I would love to attend. The new spring flowers I wanted to plant and dig in the dirt. The painting with the table is looking through the window and gazing at the landscape but also simplifying a loaf of baked bread and lovely pears.
