My artwork is the silver lining of my MS diagnosis, and without it, I would have never known I could create such paintings. It was a chance happening when needing to find an outlet to express my emotions from my diagnosis and everything that comes with it. Painting allows me to pour my emotions onto the canvas, with my hands and body covered in paint, often with tears rolling down my face. I find such a calming effect in this artwork and put my emotions into each painting. The release this process provides for me is unreal. My paintings are not planned out ahead of time, just the colors based upon emotions. All paintings are named after final completion after lying next to them, as then I can find the meaning in each one providing the proper title. My artwork is about relieving my pain and emotions. This started out as “therapy” and ended up being my purpose, allowing me to live with intention again, while at the same time relieving my pain.
