Karen Bloom – Kendallville, IN
When I lost the use of my legs to MS, I sold my piano and my paints, thinking that my hands and arms would be next. Three years later, I attempted painting in a group and found I was more than able to do it still. It became my best therapy, as I forgot my pain when I painted and got lost in the scenery that I completed. Nature is a gift from God, and I enjoy painting it and spending time outside with my service dog. Life in a wheelchair still provides me with high quality, independence, peace of mind, and soul.
