Lisa Domenic – Philadelphia, PA

I have always been creative, and I believe art is good medicine. Since my diagnosis in 2008, I have enjoyed experimenting with various mediums by taking workshops, painting in Plein Air, and participating in local exhibitions. Heading outdoors for a bit of adventure and escape provides exercise for my body, mind, and soul. It is my absolute favorite thing to do these days! Since my MS is unpredictable and fatigue is one of my biggest challenges, I keep a lightweight easel handy, paint on small canvas boards or paper and use a limited palette. I like working with oils because they have a forgiving nature that allows me to keep going and work out any problem if I just keep painting, whenever that happens to be. In addition to little landscapes, I make narrative portraits and scenes.
