Evelyn Hernandez – New York, NY
After being diagnosed with multiple sclerosis and having a terrible accident that severely damaged the use of my left hand, I found my therapy through painting, discovered my hidden creativity and a way of expressing my feelings. When I paint, my mind and heart guide my brushstrokes. I work with acrylics, but have also experimented with oil and watercolor.
I use my palate to re-create natures beauty, colors, and textures which are truly amazing. I love painting landscapes but also love creating from my imagination. My goal is to continue to grow by practice and experimentation to become a much better artist because I aim to convey my feelings of love, passion, and inspiration to others through my artwork.
