I have no formal training and drawing is a talent I was born with. I draw people and faces in black and white as they speak to my soul while I try to breathe life into a piece of paper with my pencil.
Only being diagnosed five years ago, my MS hasn’t affected my work or methods much as I haven’t picked up a pencil in almost 20 years. Now, though, I have days where my body is worn down and I’ve decided that art therapy is needed and missing in my life. My hands are tired, a bundle of painful nerves and ache. They make it a little difficult to shake off the dust and get back in my groove. However, I became lost in my drawings and for each moment that pencil was in my hands my MS disappeared and wasn’t allowed in to affect me.
