Liz Rash – Winter Park, FL

I was diagnosed with MS around 8 or 9 years ago. In retrospect, my first symptoms appeared in 1986. Since there were few treatment options in the ’80s, a diagnosis at that time may not have altered the progression of my disease. I have been fortunate and it was not until recently that I have had to make significant life adjustments, some positive and some less positive. More time to engage in joyful activities, such as painting has been a definite positive. Although my hands are less steady and my vision is sometimes blurry, painting is freeing and takes me away to a far off meditative place.
