About the Presenter

Dr. R. Alejandro Cruz is a board-certified neurologist with specialized training in neuroimmunology and multiple sclerosis. He earned his medical degree from Universidad Autonoma de Tamaulipas in Mexico and completed a research fellowship in neuro-ophthalmology at the University of Houston. He later finished his neurology residency at LSU Health in New Orleans, where he served as Chief Resident, followed by a fellowship in neuroimmunology and MS at UT Austin. Dr. Cruz currently serves as the Director of the MS Center at DHR Health and Co-Chair of Neuroscience. He also sits on MSAA’s Hispanic/Latinx Advisory Board
