Amanda Chavez – New River, AZ

My name is Amanda, and I live in Arizona. I’ve always had a passion for art. I have an identical twin sister, and we paint together sometimes. I used to paint a lot when I was younger, but life seemed to catch up fast, and I didn’t make much time for it. That is until I was diagnosed with MS during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. I felt alone with my diagnosis, even though my twin also had MS. It was a difficult time to be isolated from family and friends. I turned back to art, the passion I love, and I’ve been painting ever since. Even though I have this disease, it brought me back to myself to do the things I once loved.
