Alison Lessard – Telford, PA

I have always wanted to take a painting class, just to learn how to paint. I was never able to do so until I found a program for those with MS. I was diagnosed in 2010 and I started the painting program this past summer and finished my first ever painting, First Barn. The MS program director and my painting instructor at Good Shepherd Rehab both encouraged me to submit my painting to this showcase. Since then I have been hooked and found that art is a great stress reliever and can be used as a form of meditation. Since then I have created 2 more pieces and plan to continue painting. There is always something positive to come out of a shocking diagnosis. I found my outlet and have a new passion in art.
