MSAA’s Free Programs and Educational Resources Receive Digital Health Awards

Digital Health Awards winner 2024

The Multiple Sclerosis Association of America (MSAA) is pleased to announce that we are the recipients of three awards from the 26th annual Digital Health Awards®! Organized by the Health Information Resource Center (HIRC), the Digital Health Awards recognize leading digital health resources developed for consumers and health professionals. Award entries are evaluated by type of content, format, targeted consumer audience, and overall quality. The 2024 Digital Health Awards is an extension of the HIRC’s National Health Information Awards, the largest program of its kind in the United States. MSAA is honored to have had our programs and resources recognized by Digital Health Awards for several years.

We are proud to announce that we have been presented with a Gold Digital Health Award in the Health System and Mobile Digital Health Resources category for MSAA’s mobile application, My MS Manager™. Developed in conjunction with @Point of Care, this first-of-its-kind mobile app offers individuals with multiple sclerosis and their care partners a convenient and effective tool to manage the course of MS. Users of the app can track and journal disease activity, share medical information with physicians and clinicians, generate charts and reports across various metrics, access health measurement scales as well as several educational resources, and more. My MS Manager™ is available at no cost on both Apple and Android devices.

Along with the honor of receiving a Gold Award, MSAA is delighted to have also received two Merit Digital Health Awards in the Digital Health Media and Publications category for the following resources: MSAA’s Ask the Expert Blog Series, and MSAA’s Summer/Fall 2023 edition of our magazine, The Motivator.

MSAA’s Ask the Expert series is featured on our blog platform, MS Conversations. This series, containing several blog pieces, highlights the various questions individuals with MS or their family or friends may have, along with answers and additional information provided by MSAA’s Chief Medical Officer, Barry Hendin, MD. Dr. Hendin is a highly accomplished neurologist who specializes in MS. Ask the Expert blogs are posted on MS Conversations bimonthly.

MSAA’s national magazine, The Motivator, features and explains many vital issues of importance to the MS community. The cover story in the Summer/Fall 2023 edition of The Motivator spotlights “The Importance of Diet and Nutrition in MS,” in which medical professionals provide insight into healthy diet and food choices for those living with MS. Additional columns include “Ask the Doctor,” “Research News,” “Program Notes,” and others.
