About the Presenters
Mitzi Joi Williams, MD, FAAN is a board-certified neurologist and fellowship-trained multiple sclerosis specialist who is also the founder & CEO of the Joi Life Wellness Group Multiple Sclerosis Center in Smyrna, GA. Dr. Williams serves as the chairperson of MSAA’s African American Advisory Board.
Annette E. Howard, MD has been the Medical Director of the Multiple Sclerosis Institute of Texas in Houston since 2001, where the mission is to provide education and treatment to the whole person, including their families and significant others. Dr. Howard also serves on MSAA’s African American Advisory Board.
Annette Okai, MD, FAAN is the Director of Clinical Neuroimmunology and Multiple Sclerosis Research at North Texas Institute of Neurology and Headache in Plano, TX and Clinical Associate Professor of Neurology at Texas Tech University Health Science Center. In addition to her clinical practice, she is actively engaged in multiple clinical trials in multiple sclerosis and is published in several neurological journals. Dr. Okai also serves on MSAA’s Healthcare Advisory Council and African American Advisory Board.
