Presenter: Lana Zhovtis Ryerson, MD

Join MSAA and Lana Zhovtis Ryerson, MD on a one-hour presentation that will frame the challenges that older MS patients face, identify modifiable risk factors associated with hastened disease progression, and discuss the role of disease-modifying therapies (DMTs) in older individuals with MS. We will also explore healthy aging models and factors that have been identified to contribute to healthy aging.

Dr. Zhovtis Ryerson is a board-certified neurologist with a special focus in multiple sclerosis who has recently joined the Hackensack Meridian Medical Group team. Dr. Zhovtis Ryerson has devoted her career to developing and providing rigorous, comprehensive, and compassionate care to those afflicted with multiple sclerosis, as well as other immune mediated diseases affecting the central nervous system. She hopes to further the understanding and improve treatment options for multiple sclerosis patients through clinical research.
