I love trying to capture once-in-a-lifetime moments that tell a story through a photo. Because of my MS, traveling to visit my daughter and her family in California is extremely hard. In April 2022, a few months after losing my husband Bill to Stage 4 cancer, I was able to join them at their dinner table for our tradition of holding hands and sharing gratitude. I shared how grateful I was for us all to finally be together, even though Bill was not able to be with us. My granddaughter, age 3, stood up and proceeded outside to assure us that Bill WAS there. She pointed to the most beautiful rainbow (pictured) although there had been no rain at all. I love this photo because it reminds me that children truly see & feel connections that adults may not.
