Marilyn Kay Flechler – Lexington, KY

I was diagnosed with RRMS at the age of 54. After my DX, it took me a while to accept and live life as we all deserve. I continued working and finally retired in June 2022. I was having more bad days than good and decided my health came first. Having an exceptional neurologist has been a blessing. My husband has been very supportive and understanding. I stay very active on a daily basis.

Using acrylic, watercolor, and various art mediums has been therapeutic for me. I have found that nature gives me the most satisfaction in recreating what I envision into a piece of art. I like to go foraging for the materials I use. Repurposing previously owned framed canvas art is challenging, great fun/saves money. Creating art takes me to a different place mentally and I feel complete contentment to create whatever I’m feeling.
