Joann Wilson – Denver, CO

I have lived in Colorado my whole life and have been living with MS since 1999. I began painting with acrylics by watching the painting shows on public tv, starting with Bob Ross, and almost gave up, but he kept saying that anyone could paint, even if they couldn’t draw, which was my case. When he mentioned a blind woman who could paint, that made me more determined to keep trying. Eventually, I caught a show by Jerry Yarnell and also watched some other acrylic and watercolor artists. Now, it is a relaxing hobby, and I have sold many of my creations and given many to friends and family.
