Antoinette Hatchett – Bowie, MD
Antoinette Hatchett, born and raised within the Washington, DC region, was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in July of 2010, after battling difficult undiagnosed symptoms for 5 years.
I’ve always been an optimistic person, so I was elated when my physicians were able to finally put a name to what I’d been experiencing. Now, we can work on therapies. While battling this disease, I can most depend on my faith in God, and a host of family and friends for support.
I recently began MS art therapy through an MS art support group under the instruction of Hannah Garrison, and it’s been so helpful. After a 10-year hiatus from making art due to a lack of motivation, the online therapy sessions have brought me much joy and rejuvenation for the love of art.
