“Follow your hopes and not your fears.”
I have always found art relaxing and peaceful. I love the quiet moments working in my studio painting and drawing. During the holidays I enjoy creating gifts for family and friends to display in their homes during the Christmas season.
I was diagnosed with MS two years ago in 2018 at 25 years old. My biggest worry occurred after one of my lesions affected my hand. My handwriting was changing, and my fear was losing my ability to create my art. I was thankful the MRI and steroids caught that lesion in time and improved my symptoms. The only other challenge dealing with my MS is the fatigue. I have to take breaks and learn how to manage my energy. Creating art makes me happy, especially if I am having a challenging day with my MS. I can escape my disease and be thankful for my creative talent.
