Deborah Tomushunas – Marietta, NY

Painting is my escape from my reality. My mind is only focused on what I’m painting, and the MS fatigue seems to fade. I love to paint from my photographs, nature and landscapes are my favorites. Mostly in acrylics, but also soft pastel portraits of my grandchildren.

Diagnosed with MS in 1996, I continued to work in the printing and advertising business until 2009. Fascinated with how one could portray their thoughts, feelings, and subjects on canvas, I began lessons at the local senior center, and eventually studying with different instructors.
