I was diagnosed in 2000 with RMS. My son was 2 years old. The Dr cried when she told me. I’ve gradually gotten worse and added a few more diagnoses to my list: diabetic, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, cardiomyopathy. I ended up retiring at 50 years old and 31 years with the company I worked for. That’s when I started painting again. Prior to that, I hadn’t attempted it since high school. Now I try to supplement my pension and disability. It’s not much but it helps. My son is now 19 and in college for criminal justice. Although I have some bad times due to the MS, I am maintaining.
