Teresa Grzeslo – North Barrington, IL

When I was young, my artistic interests lay in playing with a variety of media. I associated art with fun and lack of structure. I enjoyed watching my ideas take shape and the process of doing the project.

With the passage of time, I still have all those same feelings but life experiences have colored my outlook. Having a career, raising a family, spiritual growth and coping with 20+ years of MS go into my art. Symptoms of ongoing fatigue, spasticity and limited mobility have become daily challenges, leaving unpredictable energy for hobbies.

In a reflective way, I use downtime to formulate ideas or review images on the internet when my body takes too long of a break. I let imagination take me to places unimagined before.
