I have been teaching myself since I was a little girl, and I love art as much as the air I breathe. I remember bringing my colored pencils out in the living room and rummaging through them while my parents tried to enjoy a movie. I remember watching David Bowie in the Labyrinth and loving the artistic expression Jim Henson created. I was fascinated with this comic called “Lady Death,” (mom and dad were not thrilled but let me study the art anyway). I also love Stan Winston’s work!! Amazing!

On Sept. 9th I had a stroke that was actually found out later to be an MS attack, which made me have a life altering experience. It affected the left side of my brain making my right leg tingle and go numb. While I was holding my daughter in Ikea, my husband was taking my son to the bathroom. When my husband returned I had to place my daughter in his arms because my right arm and hand were going numb and I could soon not move it.

The results came back on 11/15/10- That I have MS and what I experienced was an episode (so they call it), they found a third lesion on my brain as well as the spinal tap that came back positive for MS. The next step is to inject myself once a week to slow the process. Still very new and not knowing how to feel or deal-locked away in a place that comforts me………….my art.

LIVE ON, LIVE HAPPY, BE FREE!
