Sandra Gaumer – Logansport, IN

I did various projects in high school including woodblock print of a sunset and some acrylic and oil paintings. I had art history and design classes at the University of Northe Dakota. They were a part of my college curriculum in home economics.

I’ve been diagnosed with multiple sclerosis for four years and I have disease modifying therapy.

I feel content and grateful when I sketch woods and rivers in nature. My sons were the inspiration for my drawing. As the plant leaves move and sway from season to season, so do their milestones. As a lily changes from a bud to a blossom it can bring cheerfulness and energy.
