John Proffitt – Meadville, PA

I was diagnosed with MS in June 2002. I retired with my disability in 2007. I’ve always loved art. Painting, drawing, whatever I could do art-wise. I paint with oils on canvas and even slate at times. In 2011, I painted my first eagle in oil…ever. I love to capture their majesty and beauty. I see myself painting my way out of retirement. For although I fatigue, and stumble, fall, etc, My art gives me wings! This is the change in my life. My art is moving me to be more creative and active.
