Joyce Gust – Winneconne, WI

Art is my Calling, Passion and Joy since age 6. I am mainly a printmaker: etchings, monoprints, lithographs (o lo stone method) with collage. Recently I have started watercolor and oil painting, working smaller to accommodate my illness on a bad day. In 2003 I was deemed disabled due to MS and degenerative disk disease and diagnosed with progressive MS in 2010.

Experimental, mixed media best describes my work. Whatever it takes to visually transcend, uplift and inspire others. This is my intent > transcend limitations.

I write, make paper and my own paints, and use multiple textures. My imagery is ethereal mostly incorporating the human form. What better than the human form to share a vision, dream or common situation hoping to help others transcend limitations along my journey in life?

Art is my passion-my life. I have created art for 45+ years. Working in bed on a bad day or month, I vowed simply to paint and sketch for the rest of my days. I wish to inspire others to transcend limitations, uplift the spirit and overcome the human condition.
