Mara Ruvalcaba – Austin, TX
Mara is an entrepreneur living in Austin, TX. She is a married, happy mother of an 18-year-old son, and a 21-year-old daughter. She describes herself as a proud Software Engineer and an artist from the heart. Mara studied Computer Science in Mexico and co-founded SG Software Guru, an agency focused on building relationships with software developers. Mara started painting very young and always kept it as a hobby, attending different classes to improve her technical skills and art knowledge, even after she took on an engineering career, she took painting and drawing courses at the university. Focused on sharing her learnings in having MS, Mara directs the Code 4 DEI, a diversity, equity, and inclusion initiative, aimed at helping professionals with some kind of disability. Mara wishes to continue painting for a long time while improving her life and fighting every day with MS.
